How We Do It
We make our residents identify what makes them feel well and then use their own “wellness tools” to relieve difficult feelings so that they can maintain wellness. This results to recovery and long-term stability in addition to the medications prescribed by their psychiatrists.
Alcohol and Other Substance Addiction
How We Do It
We set goals for our clients. Setting goals allows the staff to identify exactly what they want to achieve, how to achieve it, and where to concentrate their efforts.
We conduct a self-motivational enhancement interview with our residents upon admission and have them sign a personal contract as an indication of their personal commitment to abstain from alcohol use and/ or substance abuse.
We empower our clients, considering that they are informed participants in their own health care with the right to control their own bodies.
We support a “team approach” that is consistent with the principles of client-centered planning. The team works to enhance the client’s engagement in services, improve behavioral health and treatment outcomes by involving family members, staff, peers and other natural supports.
